▶ Gauge Pressure Transmitter

Gauge pressure (GP) transmitters compare process pressure with local ambient air pressure. They have ports for real-time sampling of ambient air pressure. Gauge Pressure plus atmospheric is the absolute pressure. These devices are designed to measure pressure relative to ambient atmospheric pressure. The output of the gauge pressure sensor will vary depending on the atmosphere or different altitudes. Measurements above ambient pressure are expressed as positive numbers.
